Important Reminders

If you are one of our lucky tenants who has lawn care provided, and also owns a pet, please be sure to keep your pet’s waste picked up. Nothing ruins a lawn maintenance man’s day more than to be sprayed with pet poop!

Remember, lawn mowing and weeding is a weekly task now that the weather has warmed up!

If you have any maintenance concerns for your yard or your home, please CONTACT US! All maintenance concerns should be submitted through property meld, accessed on our website, under the Tenant Tab – Maintenance Request – Submit Work Order.  Also, there is a “Maintenance Request” link on the dark blue bar at the top.

Sprinkler Turn-On Progress

Our vendors are in the process of getting to all our rentals to activate the sprinkler systems.  Many of the city water serviced households are already operating.  Our vendors will have left a note on your door to let you know if they were unable to access the control box.  If this is the case, please activate the control system and check the sprinkler schedule.  If you need help with this please reach out to maintenance@rentalsinboise.   If you are on the canal system, it may take a little bit longer to turn on your service.  The canals are filled gradually over time and then need to allow a period for sediment to settle before irrigation systems can be activated. All properties will be turned on before the end of May.

Our weather has been warmer and dryer than normal, so if you see that your yard is starting to dry out, please utilize manual watering techniques until your automated system is operational.

Yard Care – A Fun Spring Activity!

By Athena Savoglou

Even though your community (and the world) may be on pause right now, you can still maintain your home on the inside and out.  There is no question that Spring has sprung, and it is only getting warmer.  That means more time outside, alone or with your family (while social distancing, of course!).  This time at home is the perfect opportunity to catch up on that yard work you have been meaning to do for so long.

Now, you have all the time in the world to do a thorough cleaning and upkeep of the exterior of your home and your yard.  At the very least, always remember to:

  • Pick up after your pet (as this may have become a seldom practice in cold months)
  • Clean out trash or other debris that may have flown into your yard
  • Make sure no vehicles are parked on your grass
  • Check your gutters
  • Mow the lawn
  • Pull the weeds from planter beds and dry scape areas

Although RMA is only conducting outdoor maintenance right now in consideration of your health and safety, we will still be conducting our seasonal drive-by’s to make sure everything looks well on your property.  Additionally, current events definitely will not change the fact that your grass needs watering after a long winter.  The weather has been warmer and dryer than usual, so if our sprinkler crew hasn’t attended to your yard yet, please use a hose and sprinkler attachment to give your shrubs, trees, bedding plants and grass the water it needs until our crews can make it out there.

For those of you who don’t have a private yard, a spring clean of your home can be a fun activity that the whole family can participate in.  Make it a game for the kids!   While you are sorting through things and deep cleaning the areas that you may not routinely get to, if you find any maintenance concerns, please be sure to submit a Property Meld ticket. Or, you can reach out to Mackenzie at maintenance@rentalsinboise.com.
